sweet summertime!

Blog posts have been few and far between these days, but it's not for lack of activity!  We're still here, surviving the triple-digit summer by traveling and playing in the water!  Here's an update, Instagram-style!

We started the summer with a few firsts.

First time in a bouncy house.  First time at the public pool.  And first time on the carousel, thanks to Pops because that thing would have me tossing my cookies right there in the mall.

Luke and I went to visit my sweet friend Kathryn and her newest little one.  Juggling three kiddos under twenty-six months was busy, but we were together and that is all that mattered!

Luke and Abby in the wagon, then the buggy, then the stroller.
(It was just easier to strap them down, I guess!)
And then there's Kat, holding that sweet little baby through the grocery store!

Road-tripping meant sleeping with mom in the wee morning hours, and I loved every second of it!

(Seriously, the most beautiful little lips I've ever seen.)

And it wouldn't be a trip to the hill country without visiting the Hembergers and letting these two have some playtime!

While at home, we spend very little time outdoors unless it involves the shaded 4x4 section of our backyard .... or the pool, both of which make this little guy insanely happy.

So it's lots of silly games inside to help pass these hot summer days.

Adam and I have gotten more time together than usual, now that Ironman training is behind us.  We went to our first minor league baseball game and had a great time!

This sweet little summertime of ours has been low-key and lazy.
I can't remember a time in my life when things felt more simple, easy, or amazing.

So I'm going to enjoy every evening walk, every fresh strawberry and this family that I love so much.
